After eight years evaluating startups for the European Innovation Council and Innosuisse, I kept running into the same pattern: brilliant technology, weak commercial framing, and blind spots that a structured external review would have caught before submission.

That pattern is why I built ai42labs.

The evaluation gap

Most founders obsess over product. Investors obsess over risk. The startups that get funded are the ones that speak both languages. But there was no tool that applied real evaluation methodology — the kind used in 100+ EIC and Innosuisse reviews — in a structured, accessible way.

Pitch deck reviews exist. Chatbots that rewrite your executive summary exist. What didn’t exist was a system that evaluates your startup the way a professional evaluator does: across multiple dimensions, with specific recommendations ranked by impact.

Three tools, one mission

ai42labs now offers three products, each built from real evaluation experience:

1. Startup Evaluator — Upload your pitch deck or business plan. Get a structured report covering market validation, business model sustainability, team capacity, innovation differentiation, and financial coherence. Each assessment includes a Fundraising Readiness Score and specific fixes ranked by impact. This is the tool I wished I had during my first 50 evaluations.

2. Business Relationship Intelligence — Before signing a partnership, how much do you actually know about the other side? This tool checks company registries, sanctions lists, and corporate records across jurisdictions. One name, one report, 28 data points, under 30 seconds. Built for founders evaluating partners, investors running due diligence, and advisory firms vetting clients.

3. SEO Checker — An AI-powered SEO audit that scrapes your site, runs seven analysis categories, and returns a prioritized report with actual code fixes. I ran it on my own website and scored 52 out of 100. Three weeks and every recommended fix later: 91 out of 100. The tool finds what most site owners miss, in under 90 seconds.

From advisory to product

The shift from advisory to product wasn’t planned. It emerged from a simple observation: the methodology I apply in every evaluation — whether for the EIC Accelerator, Innosuisse, or VC due diligence — follows consistent patterns. Patterns that can be systematized without losing depth.

Advisory scales linearly. Products scale differently. The goal with ai42labs is to make professional-grade evaluation accessible to every founder preparing for their next funding round, every investor running due diligence, and every business owner who wants to understand why their website doesn’t rank.

Eight years of evaluation experience, now available as tools that deliver in minutes what used to take days.
